Despite its small 2-inch size, the 391 two-way breather valve provides a strong flow profile of 20 cfm at 0.4 psi. Included is a manual relief feature to equalize internal pressure to make opening the container easier. One application that utilizes the 391 is a medium-sized, fiberglass shipping container for transporting propellers.

The 414 two-way breather valve was originally developed to provide pressure relief to electrical cabinets aboard military reconnaissance aircraft in the event of rapid decompression. Since then, it has been used in many military enclosure applications that require EMI shielding owing to its aluminum construction and electrically conductive chem film coating.

With its extra-low pressure setting, the 553 is a one-way pressure relief valve that is primarily used to provide precise control of the positive pressure in an enclosure with clean air or nitrogen purge. The static pressure can be controlled by the adjustable nut found behind the hinging, louvered cover.
