SPARK MAX is the newest member of the SPARK Motor Controller family. Building on the robust foundation of the original, SPARK MAX incorporates advanced brushed and brushless DC motor control in a small and easy-to-use package with PWM, CAN, and USB connectivity.

The REV Through Bore Encoder is specifically designed with the end user in mind, allowing teams to place sensors in the locations closest to the rotation that they wish to measure. This rotary sensor measures both relative and absolute position through its ABI quadrature output and its absolute position pulse output. Mounting an encoder has never been easier with a 1/2" Hex Through Bore paired with the molded mounting holes which allow users to quickly place this encoder on the object they want to measure. Using one of the included inserts allows for the 1/2” hex to convert to 3/8” hex, 5mm hex, or 1/4” round for additional flexibility.

The Servo Power Module is a 6V 90W power injector that enables the use of high-power RC servos in applications where a robot controller cannot directly provide adequate power. The Servo Power Unit passes through input signals unaltered while providing up to 90W of total output power across all six channels. The input and output channels accept standard 3-wire 0.1” pitch servo/PWM cables.

When used with the included right-angle USB cable, this mount provides a strong, reliable connection between the cable and the hub. The mount consists of a base that remains attached to the hub, and a cap that screws into that base allowing for removal of the USB connector on your own terms.

The SPARKmini is an inexpensive in-line brushed DC motor controller designed to offer the same performance characteristics as the REV Expansion Hub motor ports, but in a small 60mm x 22mm footprint.
